He retired in April in order to join Sheriff Michael Cox as his Chief Deputy over Law Enforcement in Hill County. He served in the Fort Worth Police Department as the Training Coordinator for the department as well as serving over Criminal Investigations; Auto Theft, the Auto Theft Task Force, Recruit and In-Service Training and other criminal investigations and patrol units. He was elected by law enforcement training peers to serve as the Vice Chairman to the Training Consortium Advisory Council to Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education in Austin. Mark has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with an associates degree in Management. Currently, Mark is a graduate student at Tarleton State University in Criminal Justice Administration. He was appointed by Governor Perry in 2009 to serve on the board of directors for the Auto Theft Authority and the Crime Victims Advisory Board. He is a local elected official to the Bynum Independent School District and the Brandon-Irene Water Supply Corporation.

Mark and his wife Mary are involved Hill County agriculture and with holdings in Mertens, Brandon and Bynum. Mary is also a 16 year veteran law enforcement officer with the City of Fort Worth. They are both involved in community service by volunteering for the annual Wagon-Trail Bike Ride and other local sports.

Mark has researched Hill County’s history and early law enforcement. His discussion will encompass the Citizen Posse in the past and how Hill County citizens may benefit by reviving the Sheriff’s Citizen Posse again.

The detailed investigation held post 9/11 clearly indicated that the information needed to prevent that attack was in hand. The problem, we were told, was that the appropriate government agencies “failed to connect the dots”.

Now, just a few days after the Boston Marathon bombing, initial investigations suggest that the information needed to prevent the bombing was in hand. The problem, we are again being told, was that the appropriate government agencies “failed to connect the dots”.

Indeed, reviewing want we think we know today, the only time the information “dots” seem to have been accurately “connected” was with those supposed “near misses” which, on deeper investigation, seem usually to have been orchestrated (and financed) by government agencies – particularly by the FBI.

For sure, there is a secondary problem at work here and that is that the various government agencies refuse to cooperate and communicate effectively. This is true, and will always be true, of political agencies led by people whose first priority is to perpetuate their agency, its prerogatives, and, most especially, its funding.

From all of this, I have reached several (to me) obvious conclusions:

First, our intelligence/law enforcement agencies collect so much information relating to so many people that they, and their systems, are overwhelmed with information. So much so that, too often, the time required to accurately assimilate the information into actionable results is longer than “the time value of the information”.

(In case some of you are not familial with the idea of “the time value of information”, simply consider the famous example of the information about the planned Normandy D-Day invasion – a week before the invasion began, this information had tremendous value (especially to the Germans) – a week after the invasion began, it had no value to anyone. The point being that if any time-sensitive information cannot be gathered, analyzed, then made actionable before the event it pertains to, such information is worthless.)

My second conclusion is that most terrorism actions against the United States, within our own country are, to some degree, faked. In addition, while I lack convincing proof, I allow the possibility that some relatively “minor” real actions may have knowingly been allowed to take place.

Why would this be? Because, like all “wars”, the “war on terror” has two very positive effects for those on the inside. The politicians get to extend and perpetuate their political powers while their cronies gather in an unimaginable amount of wealth at the expense of those they pretend to protect and defend. Ergo, and just like the so-called “war on drugs”, the “war on terror” will be perpetuated as long as the American people will continue to put up with them.

Can we do anything about all this? Most certainly!!

In the first example, we must quit accepting nonsensical invasions of our natural rights such as are contained in the Patriot Act as well as any and all other such assaults. If our government agencies were limited to collecting information only in those cases where there is probable cause, supported by specific court orders, the resulting volume of information flow would be small enough to be dealt with effectively. We must understand that most of the information being collected today involves innocent civilians who, at the very worst, express political views at odds with the current regime rather than posing any real threat to their fellow citizens.

In the second example, we must bombard our elected representatives, demanding effective oversight along with absolute constitutional conformity over all government agencies. If the representative in question fails to follow suit, use your vote to send them home.

Remember my friends – many wrongs are being visited upon you by various elements of your own government. Then, remember even more clearly that they can only do this with your consent.

Think about it. Then do something about it!

The Obamanation has issued yet another Imperial Decree (sorry – I meant Executive Order), this time taking control of the election process. The order title is Executive Order — Establishment of the Presidential Commission of Election Administration and the details are on the White House web site at: http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/03/28/executive-order-establishment-presidential-commission-election-administr

My friends, if you have somehow resisted the urge to get angry over the past power grabs by this pseudo dictator who pretends to be president, surely this will push you over the edge.

Those of you who have bothered to study our Constitution know that the election process is one power the States did not delegate to the Federal Government. Yet, here is a power mad narcissist claiming to himself – and to a “commission” appointed solely by himself, with no congressional consent or oversight, the power to manage the election processes of the entire nation.

As I have tried to explain in other articles, we are only a declaration of martial law away from a full-fledged dictatorship and the time and the means to change the present course both grow thin.

Look around you and realize that our liberty is now under assault from every angle.

While I realize that our national legislature is dysfunctional – and obviously scared out of whatever wits it once may have had by the actions of this tyrant and his thugs, I nevertheless ask each of you to help start a telephone and email barrage to our senators and congresspeople, demanding they override this outrage. It may not help but it surely will not hurt.

And stock up on whatever guns, gold and ammo you can afford.

Good old Adolph would have been proud of this guy!!

According to recent news, the DHS (Department of Homeland Subjugation) is planning to extend ”trusted Traveler” status to Saudi Arabians.

No, I am not joking. Agents from an extremist nation that funds international Islamic terrorism, that supplied 15 of the 19 terrorists who planned and executed the massive attack on September 11, 2001, will soon be allowed to put their citizens on a “fast track” for entering the United States.

Per the cited report: ”Foreign nationals enrolled in the program can enter the country with almost no effort. When they arrive at an international airport, so long as they provide a passport and fingerprints, they can bypass customs entirely.”

Meanwhile, TSA (a part of DHS) continues to harass our own citizens, subjecting them to humiliation, gross invasions of privacy, intimidation, etc. In essence, the implication of this new policy is that most Saudi Arabian citizens are more trustworthy and more deserving of respectful treatment than are most citizens of the United States.

How could such a thing be contemplated, much less actually implemented? Is there any relationship between this latest outrage and the one several years ago where our so-called “president” was caught on camera bowing to and kissing the ring of the king of Saudi Arabia? The same so-called “president” who recited the Islamic Call To prayer in perfect Arabic then went on to say that it is “one of the prettiest sounds on Earth”.

It is a well known fact that Barack Hussein Obama was a practicing Muslim. There no evidence known to me that he has ever renounced his Muslim faith.

I realize that the United States has a long and honorable tradition of religious tolerance. However, I also know that all officers of our government swear a solemn oath to protect and defend our Constitution. I further know that it is against the laws of the United States to advocate (much less attempt) the violent overthrow of our government.

The active practice of Islam requires the practitioner to work to establish Islam and Sharia law in all nations inhabited by Muslims. This is absolutely contrary to the oaths of office and to United States laws.

The simple fact is that Islam, by its own doctrines, flatly refuses to peacefully coexist with any other religion or philosophy. No amount of rationalizing, excuse making or guilt mongering can erase this simple fact. It is what it is.

I cannot say with authority that the Obamanation is an Islamist. Nor can I say that he is not. What is apparent, however, is that his administration accommodates and even promotes Islam, and it adherents, at every opportunity – even when it is clearly not in the best interests of the United States and its citizens.

Why we-the-sheeple put up with it remains a mystery to me. As big a mystery as why we put up with the insane spending, the obvious attempts to destroy our prosperity and the steady erosion of our liberty.

Do a majority of us actually want a socialist dictatorship modeled on Sharia law? All I can say for sure is most of us are certainly doing nothing to resist it.

Think about it.
